How this affects what we recommend

It doesn't. Our recommendations are based on actual product specs, prices, and our honest assessment of value for the reader. We do not write "sponsored" reviews, and no retailer has editorial input on what we publish. If a retailer offers higher commission for a product we don't think is worth buying, we won't recommend it.

Where you'd realistically save more by buying somewhere we don't have an affiliate link, we say so. (Example: Costco gift cards sometimes beat Eneba on bulk, and we tell you that.)

How affiliate links are marked

Affiliate links use the rel="sponsored" attribute as required by Google. Many also pass through our internal click tracker (/api/click) before redirecting, so we can measure which links actually help readers without sharing your personal data with retailers.
